Geers Offset has been one of the pioneers in doing its own finishing. For decades now, we are convinced that an internal finishing department offers the possibility to respond with more flexibility to every requirement of our clients.

Therefore we have made considerable investments in this department and we have recruited personnel with the necessary experience. Since then, the bookbindery has developed into a separate unit within the group, with 43 staff members.

Thanks to our internal quality control (TQM-service) we have perfect supervision of the delivered quality.

We offer the following finishing systems:

•-          Threadless PUR and Hotmelt binding

On our professional MULLER MARTINI Accoro and Corona binding lines we can process up to 12,000 products an hour. Thanks to a barcode assembly control we can guarantee that every product is perfectly matched.

•-          Thread binding

The production of sewn book-blocks takes place on the MULLER MARTINI Ventura machine, which is also equipped with optical control for perfect book assembly.

•-          Hardcover book production with paper or linen binding

With the recently installed professional KOLBUS hard cover equipment we can produce in house hard cover books with headbands and a paper or linen binding with stamping and dust cover.

•-          Saddle wire stitching (and loop stitching)

Both our wiring lines are also equipped with optical control for perfect assembly of the stitched product.
