Prepress Studio
In our prepress department the delivered files are meticulously processed by one of our professional prepress operators.
In addition to the automatic preflight on our Heidelberg JDF Workflow we plan two quality inspections before flashing the plates.
This operating procedure guarantees that the correct plates are flashed and avoids printing press stops.
Since the department operates in a non-stop production process - from Sunday evenings until Saturday mornings - a proof is delivered shortly after the file transfer.
Proofs can be transferred on paper or digitally through FTP or via our on-line proofing system, Remote Access.
After client approval and two internal quality inspections the plates are flashed with conventional or stochastic screens on one of the three Computer-To-Plate installations.
Digital Asset Management (DAM)
Optimum management of all available data is essential for correct processing.
All data are managed from a central storage where they can be consulted both internally (prepress, digital press, offset press, plate flasher,....) and externally by the client.
Once the information is processed on the printed support, we can return the data to the client or we can register them on the internal secured file.
Transfer Files
• FTP
For file transfer you can use our FTP through a personal login and a password.
If you don't have your own login and you would like to receive one, you can send an email to your order processor under the reference ‘creation FTP'.
• Remote Access
Because of our remote proofing system you can consult your rendered proofs in high resolution.
After uploading your files are automatically transferred to our JDF Workflow, after which you receive a preflight report. After the files have been processed through our rip you receive an email informing you that the rendered files are ready on-line for control. If you wish, you can zoom in on the high resolution pages to check details.
This rapid method of proofing offers the possibility to start printing shortly after delivery of the files.
Fotogravure
In our photogravure department your visual material is skilfully scanned on professional Heidelberg Drumscanners, after which we can deliver a Dupont Cromalin colour proof, if necessary. We also take care of your digital visual material and we make colour corrections and touch-ups.
Geers Offset has many years' experience in editing art and fashion photos, as well as common visual material for commercial printed matter.
Our operators have a wide knowledge of selections of black and white, duotone, trichrome and quadrichrome images.
Tablet Publishing
Geers Offset biedt u de service om, vertrekkend van uw aangeleverde Indesign
of PDF file, een digitale publicatie te maken en deze bij middel van een Reader App
te publiceren op een Tablet (Ipad, Android tablets).
Geers Offset maakt uw persoonlijke kiosk aan in de Istore waarna uw diverse publicaties
per editie worden gepubliceerd.
Interactiviteit zoals slideshows, video's en links worden toegevoegd om het geheel attractiever
te maken.
